NY Times article about the first illegal mashup I produced. The video was recently taken down by YouTube for copyright infringement. Fair Use?
Reorganizing a lot of content from old blogs… A lot has happened in 5 years.
** I think the main question for me is what happens to our creative culture when it starts disappearing from the internet? Mashups and remixes are such an integral part of web culture… but the lines of fair use and copyright law are so blurred and smeared — like someone is taking a giant eraser leaving half-assed traces of what’s been created.
I’m still thinking about what all of this means and what the implications are…
